Air Pressure Experiments With Paper
Experiment instructions step 1.
Air pressure experiments with paper. The center fold of the paper should be on top of the stick and a long side of the paper should be flush with the edge of the table. Step 2. 1 4 way up the paper 1 2 way up the paper and 3 4 way up the paper. This experiment is a super easy air pressure experiment to demonstrate the bernoulli principle which had my 6 year old in fits of giggles for a long time.
Gently place your hand on. Ensure that the water is completely to the top of. Gently place the paper on the top of the glass. Find out how your lungs work with this fun.
We chose to make 3 paper air foils all with varying amounts of folds. Try and blow a ball of paper into a squash bottle and watch it fly back out this one had my 6 year old in hysterics and is a super simple demonstration of air pressure. An empty squash bottle. Check out the 1 2 way up air foil below.
Lay a page or two of the newspaper over the stick on the table like a blanket. Watch an egg magically drop into a jar after heating the air inside which starts to escape past the egg then as the air cools again the now higher pressure air on the outside forces the egg into the jar. Move the glass over the container or sink. Record air pressure over a period of time with this easy to make barometer.
Step 3. To test our thoughts on air resistance we need to change the shape of the paper and we are going to do it with an origami fold which is called the valley fold. A small rolled up ball of paper small enough to sit inside the mouth of the bottle.
